Ensuring Full Commitment for Better Performance

In my ongoing effort to improve my performance, I've identified a pattern that has been blocking my progress. When I'm faced with a challenging or uncomfortable shot, I've recognized a tendency to not fully commit, providing myself with an excuse in case of a mishit or outcome different than I wanted. I can say "Well, I wasn't really trying so it's ok that it worked out that way". This habit, while a little subconscious, stops my adherence to sound fundamentals and negatively impacts my confidence.
Consequently, I've decided to make a dedicated commitment to be in completely on every shot, be it in practice or during live play. I see this mostly in chipping and pitching so I'll be hyper focused there.
My renewed approach is giving 100% effort to execute each shot in alignment with the necessary fundamentals. This includes selecting a precise target, landing spot on the green, envisioning the desired trajectory for chip or pitch shots, establishing the correct setup for the intended result, and ultimately taking the shot with confidence. Subsequent to each attempt, I'll simply analyze the outcome, drawing insights to adjust and refine my technique moving forward. This I feel is integral to my objective of honing the fundamentals I've acquired. It should allow me to know their correctness and seek guidance from my coach when my results aren't what I expect.
I'm committed to providing regular progress updates and welcome any insights or strategies you may have implemented to enhance your own performance in a similar fashion.
Hey, I've got a plan...
